Sketches Summer Camp 2014 was a camp hosted by a local school and was related to the legacies and works of important Muslim civilizations that have existed over the course of history. It took place in Karachi, Pakistan during summer 2014 while I was visiting home. This gave me the opportunity to volunteer as one of the mentors for the camp. My main duties and tasks included:
Additionally each mentor, including me, was also assigned to a dedicated group of students who we were responsible for on top of the general duties we had with respect to all the students.
I also did graphic design and video editing work for the Camp with all the content being created on a voluntary basis. These included but were not limited to:
- Positive grooming of the students
- Leading and Facilitating activities
- Being a warm and comforting presence for all the students
- Assisting with event set ups
